I am planning to go Nepal and need to use satellite based wireless communication. Has anyone here used STM services? How reliable is it? and how about customer service?

Is their any other alternative to STM services? Any companies that provides ISAT phones and other Inmarsat services?

Thuraya Satellite phones are available in Nepal. You can check this url http://www.thuraya.com/content/thuraya-in-nepal.html . I have not gone for much details. I hope it would be of some help.

popeye, thanks for responding. During my last visit, I used Thuraya phone serviced by Constellation and I was not impressed. the link you provided doesn't tell more about the local companies who can provide isat and bgan services.
