What is your current status ? You said you have EAD and after 4-5 years, you CoS to H4 ? Does it mean your case is in pending for another 4-5 years to decide? Do I understand correctly ? Applying for H1B through consultancy does not harm though. Next H1B filing is on April 2017 and it's all lottery base, if you know how it works. Good Luck.
