 TPS For H4 Dependent

Can H4 visa holder apply for TPS and get work permit as well? Can H4 work after getting the EAD. Does working violates the H4 status at all? Will working affect the H4 status when getting back from TPS to H4 status?

- H4 can apply TPS.
- Yes H4 can work after getting TPS-EAD
- Working on H4 violates H4 status (But doesn't matter, go to next point)
- Working doesn't affect to get back to H4 status as long as spouse has H1

Yes they can apply for sure. They can work on TPS EAD without any issues. As per my conversation with several attorneys working in TPS doesnt violates the H4 status at all. H4 status depends completely on the principal H1B holder like the damauli_guy said. As long as the H1B holder has maintianed his/her status the spouse will continue to have H4 status.
