I find it amusing.

* get hit by a guy selling hashish/magic mushrooms/tiger balm/rickshaw/taxi

All in all though, there is this vibrancy in Thamel ,quite unmatched in any other city i have been to.It looks far prettier at night rather than by harsh daylight. Hanging out around that area with a huge buncha friends till the wee hours of the morning, seeing the same people over and over again, and suddenly getting ravenous enough to eat a horse and stopping by Sandwich Point.,..ahh... sandwiches never taste more heavenly.:)
Chocolate cake at Helena's . Live music at New Orleans and Himalatte, where the ex band memebers of "robin and looza " perform. Love it all. As well, there is this lil hovel of a restaurant which has the best sukuti ever. Can't recall the name tho. :(
