SINDHULI, JUL 17 - A man in Sindhuli district has been sentenced to 27 years in prison with all his property confiscated for murdering his own sister after he raped her.
A single bench of District Court Sindhuli, Hari Prasad Bagale sentenced Ram Kumar Thapa, 17, of Purano Jhagajholi-7 in the district convicting him in the crime. Thapa was sentenced 20 years for murder, six years for rape and one year for incest.
Thapa had murdered his sister Gita on 26 July, 2011.
Thapa’s mother Ritu Maya had filed a case against him in the district court.
