 Looking Nepali to share his room/apt in Des Moines, Iowa

Hi guys,
I am moving to Des Moines, Iowa next week. If anybody who is living there wants to share their room/apt, then please let me know. It would be a great help. 
Does anybody know how to travel in Des Moines? Any public transport there? I know weather is very cold there. But just want to know how are the things there such as living expenses, how big is city etc.
