Muttiah Muralitharan, who took 11 wickets at the SSC, pointed out two things after Sri Lanka handed India their third largest defeat; one, that Mendis is far more talented than he was when he debuted and two, that Mendis will take the pressure off him and perhaps extend Murali's Test career".
And yet Indians are so called best team against the spin attack. Look at the likes of Tendulkar,Dravid, Ganguly,Sahewag and VVS laxman all meekly bowing in front of the mastero Murrli and his obvious
successor Mendis. If this guy Mendis ,yet to be decoded as of the mystery of his lethal bowling, keeps on going like this , it would be a treat watching them play against team like Australia. Rest of the teams like Eng,SA, NZ for them it is like, I guess, as if murli was not enough to find another 'DOOSRA' whiz.
OR is he another flash on the pan, Do you all remember 'Narendra Hrwani' who got 16 wkts in his debut
test against the mighty WI under the great Viv Richards.
Well, I can't wait to see SL play test against Aussies. Anyone know the Aussie's series schedule ......................
