This week's image is not a photo, but an image scanned from the Christmas greetings that Longview resident Anup Bhandari shared with us and other friends throughout East Texas. Bhandari, a resident of Nepal, is now an art major at the Unviersity of Texas at Tyler after completing his associate degree at Kilgore College. He first came to our attention several years ago when he asked for our help in publicizing his efforts to raise relief funds for victims of the tsunami that devastated many lives in countries along the coast of the Indian Ocean. Working with Texas Bank and Trust, he sold a variety of original paintings and drawings to raise the relief funds.
